Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, hospitals need to offer the capacity to perform tests on patients and to be able to isolate positive cases of Corona Virus Infection.
At the same time, hospitals are overburdened by incoming patients that require special care and need to be isolated. Both, laboratories and isolation rooms, require easy to disinfect enclosures, negative air pressure and an airlock in order to avoid airborne infectious particles escaping the isolation room which will cause cross-infection of other people within the healthcare facility.

Adding a laboratory to your hospital will make lab testing more efficient as analytical operations can be centralized instead of sending samples to multiple external laboratories. As these isolation rooms are for longterm use, they should be equipped with an integrated bathroom that is accessible directly from the patient’s space, if this is possible. In the case of several isolation rooms separated from the rest of the hospital, there may be separate bathrooms.
